The new branch will add to Wood-Mizer’s existing branches in Johannesburg, the Lowveld and Kwa-Zulu-Natal.
The branch will service the entire Cape Province including the Eastern and Southern Cape where forestry and sawmilling are important focus areas through to Western Cape where manufacturing takes the lead.
Wood-Mizer’s Branch Manager for the new outlet is Dawie Senekal. A timber industry veteran of many years, Dawie’s five-year tenure with Wood-Mizer has seen him taking the lead in sawmill, secondary processing equipment and tooling sales, training, and functioning as Wood-Mizer’s brand ambassador for its woodworking machine range at Ligna Hannover. His experience in tooling, woodworking machine and sawmill sales will drive Wood-Mizer's expanded reach in the Cape.
A revitalised Cape timber sector that will benefit from the reversal of the controversial forest exit strategy, present sawmillers in the province with many new opportunities. The new branch and Dawie Senekal’s experience is set to tap into these opportunities with existing sawmilling and manufacturing businesses in the province also benefitting from Wood-Mizer’s sales, service and support network now on their doorstep.
